How to Make Bulgogi.
Bulgogi is a representative meat dish in Korea where thinly sliced beef is marinated in soy sauce and then grilled. The name Bulgogi means grilling meat over fire, but these days, it is common to stir-fry it in a pan with plenty of moisture.
Ingredients and portion (4 servings)
500g of beef (sirloin), 1 onion (200g), 3 shiitake mushrooms (or oyster mushrooms), 6 green onions (60g), 1 tablespoon of cooking oil.
5 tablespoons of soy sauce, 3 tablespoons of sugar, 2 tablespoons of minced green onions, 1 tablespoon of sesame oil, 1 tablespoon of pepper powder, 1 tablespoon of sesame salt.
Optional seasoning pear (150g, 5 tablespoons of pear juice (or broth), 2 tablespoons of Cheongju.
Getting ready.
1. For beef, prepare the tender sirloin with a thin bulgogi texture of 2 mm thick. If it's too long, cut it in a good length to eat, and if it has a lot of blood, press it hard with a kitchen towel to remove it.
2. Chop the onions according to the length.
3. Slice the mushrooms thinly.
4. Cut green onions into 4cm long pieces.
5. Grind the pear on a grater to make a sauce by combining all the soy sauce and the rest of the seasoning ingredients.
6. Add seasoning to the trimmed beef and marinate it for 20 minutes. Add onions, green onions, and mushrooms and mix.
Making
1. Add some cooking oil to the pan and stir-fry the seasoned meat evenly over high heat. You can grill it directly.
Tip!!
Bulgogi meat mainly uses rib eye sirloin, tenderloin, and sirloin.
Bulgogi needs to be sliced thinly to soak the sauce well. To slice the meat thinly, put it in the freezer for about 30 minutes and cut it in the opposite echo of the meat texture using a sharp knife when the meat is hardened.
If you add fruits such as pears and apples to the marinade for meat, it will serve as a softener.
A dish baked with marinated meat and vegetables in a skewer is called sanjeok. If you grill meat alternately with green onions or mushrooms, the color is pretty and the taste is better.
In Korean homes, it is common to grill bulgogi, neobiani, and grilled ribs on a frying pan, but if you are familiar with oven use, you can bake them in an oven. It's best to grill it directly using a grill, but it's good to enjoy it like a barbecue by burning charcoal outdoors because there's smoke inside.
